Emily Swanson (They/Them) is a queer nonbinary illustrator located in Chicago, that creates vibrant, textured, digital works that balance gritty horror and neon beauty.

They have a degree in theatre and costume design, and will always been a theatre kid at heart, and love to tell stories as a way to connect. They believe whether the piece is a comic or a single illustration their art should tell a story.

While their personal work tends to have a spooky, grungy spin, they also have professional experience in technical illustration, live creative ideation, and story boarding.

Their favorite horror movie is a tie between The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) and The Fly (1986)
